Ayurveda Therapist

An ayurvedic practitioner uses holistic techniques to help patients maintain a healthy life, eliminate impurities, build immunity and reduce stress. Through observations, massages and relaxation techniques, you should be able to focus on the entire well-being of the patients.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily Ayurveda, Panchakarma therapies as scheduled which includes preparing the therapy room with necessary equipment, oils, herbs, etc., performing the therapies as well as ensuring cleaning and setting up the room for the next therapy.
  • Adhere to therapy protocol set by the retreat.
  • Reports necessary patient information to the Doctor.
  • Demonstrate an excellent, overall knowledge of Therapies & products.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and instructions accordingly.
  • Ensure all complaints are dealt with promptly and efficiently and in confidence, referring them to the Doctor, Manager.
  • You will be required to train as a first aider and administer first aid to employees and guests as necessary and maintain this qualification throughout your employment in Raga Svara. Attend first aid training sessions as required.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the centre.

  • Flexibility in undertaking other duties as delegated by the Doctor and the Manager.

Qualification

Food & Beverage Service (Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor)

Responsibilities

  • To organise, develop, operate and administer all the Food and Beverage outlets and the Room Service.
  • To plan for and schedule manpower, equipment and supply requirements for the F&B service department.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and proficiency of employees in his department.
  • To determine and evaluate menu planning, style, design and pricing for the best competitive advantage.
  • To maintain inventory & par stocks for Crockery, Glassware, Cutlery, Hollowware, F&B Linen etc. and account for the breakage of glassware and China and loss of equipment.
  • To prepare SOP, Service standards, capital and operational budget for his department and maintain cost control without compromising on quality.
  • To ensure banquet functions are conducted in a pre-planned manner and other guests are not disturbed.
  • To keep wastage of food to the minimum by controlling food wastage and ensuring appropriate portions.
  • To conduct food festivals and promotions & ensure sales calls for promoting business.
  • To handle guest complaints, analyse guest comments and ensure negative factors are removed from food quality and service.

Qualification

  • Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management.
  • Considerable Work Experience in star category Hotel/Resort.

Food & Beverage Service Assistants

Responsibilities

  • To welcome guests to the restaurant in an appropriately warm and courteous manner and guide them to the table, help them to get seated and present them the menu.
  • To inspect table cover layouts and equipment placement and settings before commencement of service and set up the restaurant according to the table plan; cover layout and standards defined by the resorts management.
  • To take the guest order correctly on the order taking pads or on the handheld Point of sale (POS) system & help guests in choosing the menu and suggestive selling.
  • Generate KOT (Kitchen order ticket)
  • Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
  • Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area & perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • In case of events, check banquet areas, service, and kitchen areas for cleanliness, proper set up, and make sure sufficient supplies and equipment are available for the function.
  • You must have complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus: The ingredients; the preparation; how items are served and with what; know your prices; know the daily specials.
  • Handle all guest complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist with stocking and maintain the restaurant par stock levels and side station.

Front Office Manager (FOM)/Assistant Front Office Manager (AFOM)/Front Office Supervisor (FOS)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the reception counter and create and maintain a smooth check in, check out procedure for all guests.
  • To handle all booking queries and communication and ensure proper records are maintained and acted on for all internal telephone calls, reservation requests by telephone and email.
  • Ensures room folios, C-Forms, arrival & departure reports are correctly maintained and payment received as per billing instructions.
  • To create and maintain relationships with all OTAs and offline travel agents and update changes in the POS & reservation register constantly.
  • To ensure generation of databases, regular sales calls and email marketing for promoting business.
  • Ensures safety and security of guest belongings in guest rooms, luggage rooms and guest lockers.
  • To train the front office staff and brief them every day.
  • To create the Front office SOP, standards, operational budget, checklists, registers and maintains these.
  • To take guest feedback and testimonials as required. Interacts with customers on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.

Front Office Assistant

We are looking for a pleasant Front Office Assistant to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors/guests and will be responsible for the first impression we make.

The ideal candidate should have a friendly and easy going personality, while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

Responsibilities

  • To greet and welcome guests courteously and deal promptly with their requests and queries.
  • Assist guests during check-in and retreat orientation
  • To have detailed information regarding arrivals and room requirements, daily room occupancy and constantly update the reservation register.
  • To maintain up to date information on room rates, packages and promotions.
  • To maintain all guest folios and type out guest details in the PMS.
  • To coordinate with Housekeeping for clearing rooms & give proper handover to the next shift.
  • To prepare and understand all relevant daily, weekly reports and statistics.
  • To handle all incoming telephone calls and room calls and wake up calls.
  • Keep the front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper, emergency use kit, first aid kit etc.)& monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.

Housekeeping Attendant

The attendant will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, orderliness and adequate supply of assigned housekeeping guestrooms and work areas.

He should be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

  • To clean guest bedrooms, guest bathrooms, other public areas as per procedure and replenish supplies.
  • Attends guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him.
  • Picks up different service areas and cleans them on a regular basis and does deep cleaning.
  • Exchange the linen with the laundry and linen room & ensure laundry, dry cleaning and pressing are delivered.
  • Able to create visually appealing flower arrangements for hotels daily requirements & responsible for watering and maintaining all in-house plants and floral decorations.
  • Be alert of suspicious characters in the hallways and report immediately to the security department & report any illness of guest and accident.
  • To report lost & found or damaged hotel property to the supervisor.
  • Update status of rooms cleaned on the assignment sheet.

Swimming Pool Attendant/Activity Assistant

Performs guest safety and recreational/Activities work supervising, swimming pool attendance and enforcing regulations at the resort pool as well.

Responsibilities

  • Observes and patrols the pool area and enforces safety regulations & assists swimmers from water when in danger.
  • reet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance with seating, and deliver consistent guest service.
  • Knowledgeable of the pool facility such as length and depth of all pools, how many laps it takes to complete a mile in meters and feet etc.
  • Identify and report defects throughout the pool & assigned areas, notify supervisors and concerned departments immediately of hazards, injuries, equipment or processes that negatively affect the operations.
  • Ensure swimming pools and the assigned areas are clean at all times.
  • Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place, when setting up in the morning.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of resuscitation, first aid, and CPR techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Knowledge of swimming pool equipment sufficient to be able to perform minor maintenance work on the equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, towels, replacing flags, and cleaning signs.

Qualification

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Basic Computer knowledge
  • Previous experience working as a Pool Guest Attendant or Lifeguard in star hotels.
  • Must have a good understanding of the English language.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified is an added advantage.

Yoga Instructor

Responsibilities

  • Should be certified Yoga Instructor with knowledge of the history, philosophy, and ethics of yoga.
  • Should have understanding of different forms of Yoga – Iyengar, Satyananda (Bihar School), Sivananda, Power Yoga, Vinyasa etc.
  • Must have an understanding of basic fitness principles, anatomy, and injury prevention.
  • Should be able to instruct small or large groups of new, intermediate or experienced yoga practitioners & conduct lecture sessions on Yoga, Spirituality and other health, fitness related topics.
  • Perform and demonstrate all Yoga exercises to participants and ensure compliance to safety and health standards.
  • Understand the contra-indications for each posture, practice & design safe and comprehensive yoga programs for various participants from diverse groups.
  • Analyse each participant requirement and develop exercises to suit every individual.
  • Leading groups through different Meditation techniques, Yogic cleansing (Shatkarma) techniques.
  • Knowledge on Aqua Yoga Practices will be an advantage.
