Our campus is beautiful in all six seasons: Vasant (Spring), Grishma (Summer), Varsha (Monsoon), Sharad (Autumn), Hemant (Pre-winter) and Shishir (Winter). Our trees, plants and foliage have different characters in each season and one can experience the beauty of nature in all its diversity throughout the year. Temperatures in peak summer (May and June) can get uncomfortable in outdoor areas, but all indoor areas are centrally air-conditioned for your comfort.

Air Quality at Raga Svara

Brief

Recent on-site environmental monitoring confirms that Raga Svara maintains highest air quality standards, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 46. An AQI between 0-50 is the healthiest rating possible (categorised as “Good”), signifying "Minimal Impact" on your body.

In a national landscape where major metropolitan areas frequently struggle with "Poor" to "Hazardous" air during winter months, Raga Svara stands out as a sanctuary of clean air. This data validates the property's location and design as a pristine environment ideal for respiratory health, holistic wellness, and deep rejuvenation.

Detailed Air Quality Analysis

Site-Specific Air Quality Monitoring was done on Jan 29, 2026. Testing was conducted by Schedule-I Environmental Auditor duly authorised by Gujarat Pollution Control Board.

The measured air quality falls into the healthiest category defined by national standards.

  • Overall AQI: 46 (Good Category)
    • Significance: An AQI between 0–50 is considered "Good." It implies minimal to no impact on health and is safe for all groups, including those with respiratory sensitivities.
  • Key Pollutant Breakdown:
    • Particulate Matter (PM2.5): Recorded at 19.62 µg/m³.
      • Context: PM2.5 is the most critical pollutant for health. Levels below 30 µg/m³ are often targeted as safe "Satisfactory" limits in Indian contexts, and Raga Svara is performing exceptionally well here.

The value of Raga Svara’s air quality becomes stark when compared to the typical air quality in major Indian hubs. While guests at Raga Svara breathe pristine air, other locations frequently experience hazardous pollution levels during the same season.

Location Typical Winter AQI Status Health Implication
Raga Svara 46 (Good - Highest category) Healthy breathing; ideal for outdoor yoga/meditation.
Delhi (NCR) 300+ (Very Poor/Hazardous) Respiratory risk; outdoor activity often restricted.
Mumbai 150 – 200+ (Moderate/Poor) Breathing discomfort for sensitive groups.
Ahmedabad 160+ (Moderate/Poor) Unhealthy for prolonged exposure.

For a wellness retreat focused on Ayurveda and Yoga, air quality is not a luxury—it is a functional necessity.

Noise Level Comparision

Additional testing for noise levels at different location on the campus was done as per IS Standard 9989.

Key Findings

Raga Svara’s noise levels are significantly lower than the permissible limits for residential and silence zones, offering a rare acoustic environment conducive to deep rest and meditation.

Daytime Noise Levels (Average):
  • Raga Svara: 46 – 48 dB(A)
    • Observation: This falls well below the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) limit for Silence Zones (50 dB) and Residential Areas (55 dB).
  • Metro Residential Areas (Delhi/Mumbai): Typically 70 – 80 dB(A)
    • Context: Residential areas in cities like Mumbai and Delhi frequently record noise levels between 75-80 dB due to traffic and urban density, far exceeding the safe limit of 55 dB.
Night time Noise Levels (Average):
  • Raga Svara (Guest House/Yoga Center): 26 – 29 dB(A)
    • Observation: This is exceptionally quiet, far below the CPCB night limit of 40 – 45 dB for silence/residential zones.
  • Metro Residential Areas: Typically 45 – 60 dB(A)
    • Context: Urban nightlife and traffic often keep nighttime noise levels above 50 dB, disrupting sleep cycles.

The acoustic environment at Raga Svara is ~30 - 40% quieter than typical urban residential areas, providing a "Silence Zone" experience that is naturally sustained rather than enforced.
